| Eastbound: Head north on
MD-17 a little over a mile to US-40. Turn right and follow US-40 about 5 miles to Shookstown Rd. Bear left and drive to the 4-way intersection with Gambrill Park Rd. Turn left and follow Gambrill Park Rd 0.5 miles to the Rock Run camping area. Westbound: This route was suggested but, in a rig, it is not a choice. Turning left onto US-40 from US-40-A is risky so we suggest using the 'eastbound' approach. But, if you're game, head east on US-40-A anout 0.6 miles to Blentlinger Rd and turn left. Drive to the end of the road (about 0.2 mi) and make that left turn onto US-40. Now head west on US-40 about 2.5 miles to Gambrill Park Rd. Turn right and follow Gambrill Park Rd about 0.7 miles to the Rock Run camping area. |
