| The Covered Wagon is on
Buckeye Ave, just south of downtown Abilene 2.2 mi. from the exit. Note: The Dwight D Eisenhower Presidential Library (its original site) and Presidential Museum is just 4 blocks north of the Covered Wagon (walking is great in Abilene - and could be a lot of fun!). Turn right at SE 4th St (the St Andrew Catholic Church is on the opposite corner) and walk one more block. If that makes you hungry, there is (or was?) a pizza shop on one side of the street and a taco shop on the other just over the railroad track two blocks further north on Buckeye Ave. You're bound to like one or the other - or both? |
